Important Note on Story Themes

Important Note on Story Themes

Note on Contextual Themes: I understand that in genres like fantasy, dystopian, or historical fiction, certain themes—such as slavery, coercion, or power imbalance—may appear as part of the worldbuilding or character struggle. I’m open to evaluating stories that handle these elements with care, nuance, and clear moral framing.

What I don’t edit are stories that romanticize, eroticize, or excuse abusive behavior, especially when it’s framed as love, healing, or character growth. If you’re unsure whether your story fits, I’m happy to take a quick look before booking.

My goal is to support authors who write with emotional clarity and respect for their readers’ trust.

I want every project to be a good fit. Please review the content boundaries I honor before submitting. To keep my feedback focused and aligned with my values, I don’t work on stories that center around the following themes. This helps me give my best to the authors I serve—and ensures every project is a good fit.

If you're unsure whether your story fits, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to clarify.

I DO NOT EDIT THESE TYPES OF BOOKS:

Erotica – Stories centered on explicit sexual content, often with minimal emotional or narrative depth.

Beratement – Narratives that glorify verbal abuse, humiliation, or emotional degradation, especially in romantic or interpersonal contexts.

Spicy Romance – Romance with graphic sexual scenes or heavy sensual content, even if consensual.

Reverse Harem – Stories where one female character is romantically or sexually involved with multiple male characters, often simultaneously.

LGBTQ+ Romance – Romantic or sexual relationships involving LGBTQ+ characters. (non-romantic LGBTQ+ stories are welcome.)

BDSM – Includes bondage, dominance/submission, sadomasochism, or other kink-related dynamics, even if consensual.

Step or Forbidden Romance – Romantic relationships involving step-siblings, guardians, or other taboo pairings, often framed as “forbidden love.”

Forced Breeder – Stories involving non-consensual impregnation, often in dystopian or fantasy settings; typically includes coercion or captivity.

Trans Romance – Romantic or sexual relationships involving transgender characters.

Poly Stories – Romance involving more than two partners, often with overlapping or simultaneous relationships.

Dubious Consent – Scenes where consent is unclear, coerced, or manipulated—often framed as “romantic tension.”

Sexual Abuse Disguised as ‘Love’

Incest or pseudo-incest tropes (e.g., not really siblings but raised together).

Age-gap romance involving minors (even if technically legal, some stories blur ethical lines).

Non-consensual power dynamics (e.g., master/slave, captor/captive, or coercive mentorship).

Omegaverse / Alpha-Beta-Omega dynamics (often includes breeding, dominance, or dubious consent).

Dark romance with glorified abuse or trauma bonding (especially if it lacks redemption or accountability).

Fetish-centric narratives (e.g., adult baby/diaper lovers, humiliation kink, or medical fetishism, etc.).

Extreme degradation or objectification (especially when framed as romantic or character growth).

Taboo teacher/student or therapist/patient relationships (especially if the power imbalance is romanticized).
