Qualifications

I bring a wide, practical background across multiple facets of writing and editing—from author and ghostwriting work to hands‑on proofreading, copy editing, line editing, and word auditing in the insurance industry. My experience also includes five years in law enforcement transcription and records, where I focused on formatting, clarity, and consistency to ensure professional, accurate documentation.
I’ve worked on manuscripts at every stage of the editorial process, and I’ve explored a wide range of writing styles and genre‑specific storytelling techniques. I’ve trained under Phon Baillie of Edit Republic and earned certifications in proofreading, copy editing, line editing, developmental editing, and evaluations. I’ve completed book‑coaching coursework to deepen my understanding of story development and author support, which strengthens the developmental and editorial feedback I provide.
My real-world experience is varied and practical: I hold a BA in Criminal Justice and have worked in martial arts instruction, self-defense, firearms, veterinary care, medical transcription, insurance transcription, and civilian law enforcement roles including records, inventory, and transcription. I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for research, language, and helping authors refine their stories with clarity and care.
I love digging into word choices, exploring emotional nuance, and making sure every story I touch is ready for publication—with intention, precision, and heart.
I do not use AI to edit or analyze client manuscripts. All developmental and editorial feedback is done by me, using my experience, judgment, and craft. Your work stays private, human‑read, and human‑guided at every stage.
